Japanese bento chain Hokka Hokka Tei is joining the celebrations for SEGA Store Osaka, with a new campaign giving 30 customers a chance to take home the store’s monochrome Sonic collectible.
Running from October 1 through October 25, the promotion is tied to the return of Hokka Hokka Tei’s Gyusuki Bento range. Customers who purchase an eligible meal through the chain’s mobile ordering system using online payment can enter for a chance to win the Sonic the Hedgehog × Kosuke Kawamura SEGA Store Exclusive Toy (Monochrome).
The figure should already be familiar to anyone who has been following the upcoming Osaka store. Sonic City covered the collectible earlier this week as part of the retailer’s opening lineup. Designed by Japanese collage artist Kosuke Kawamura, the monochrome version was created specifically for SEGA Store Osaka and will normally be sold there for ¥3,960 including tax.
Entering the giveaway requires registration with Hokka Hokka Tei’s Hokka App and submission through the dedicated campaign form. Each eligible Gyusuki Bento purchase counts toward the draw, with additional purchases increasing the entrant’s chances of winning. Side-dish-only orders do not qualify.
The eligible range starts at ¥930 including tax for the Gyusuki Bento without udon. The regular version is ¥980, while the double-meat options cost ¥1,310 without udon or ¥1,360 with it. Prices and specifications can vary by region.
Despite being tied to the opening of SEGA Store Osaka, the campaign is not limited to Osaka. Hokka Hokka Tei says it will run across participating stores in a wide range of Japanese regions, including Kansai, Kanto, Kyushu, Chugoku, Shikoku and parts of Tohoku and central Japan. The store itself opens October 2 on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO.
The Hokka Hokka Tei campaign begins October 1 and closes October 25, with 30 winners receiving the monochrome Sonic figure after the drawing.
