SONIC PICO PARK is an upcoming cooperative action puzzle game developed by TECOPARK and published by PICO PARK Inc..
SONIC PICO PARK, every playable character can use the Spin Dash, while stages include Sonic-inspired elements such as Rings, loops, springs, and speed-based movement. Playable characters include Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, and PICO CAT variants.
SONIC PICO PARK was developed under what was reported as the first instance of Sega licensing the Sonic the Hedgehog IP to an independent developer for a game project. Producer Shintaro Shimazu of PICO PARK Inc. stated that the collaboration grew from a desire to bring PICO PARK to a wider audience, while director Shunsuke Miyake, the creator of PICO PARK, said Sonic's distinctive actions and mechanics allowed the team to create cooperative situations beyond a simple character replacement. The official website describes the game as part of Sonic's 35th anniversary period and identifies it as the latest entry in the PICO PARK series, which had sold over 8 million copies worldwide by the time of the game's announcement.
