Portland Retro Gaming Expo is putting together a sizeable Sonic voice cast reunion for the Blue Blur’s 35th anniversary.
The convention has confirmed Ryan Drummond, Mike Pollock, Scott Dreier and William Corkery as part of its Sonic anniversary programming for PRGE 2026, bringing together four performers with deep ties to the English-language game cast.
Drummond is best known to Sonic fans as the English voice of Sonic during the Sonic Adventure era, including Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes.
Scott Dreier worked alongside him as Knuckles the Echidna, voicing the character in Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance 3.
Mike Pollock brings a different stretch of Sonic history to the lineup. After first voicing Dr. Eggman in the English dub of Sonic X, Pollock became Eggman’s game voice and has remained closely associated with the character ever since.
The fourth member of PRGE’s “Team Sonic” lineup is William Corkery, who voiced Tails in Sonic Heroes.
PRGE formally revealed Corkery in a Facebook post, writing:
“William Corkery is the fourth member of our Team Sonic! He is known for voicing Tails in Sonic Heroes, Reese Worthington from the Backyard Sports series, and Pete from his guest spot on Drake and Josh. Celebrate 35 years of Sonic with us!”
William Corkery, the English voice of Tails in Sonic Heroes, completes PRGE’s four-person Sonic voice actor lineup.
That gives the convention a particularly strong connection to the early 2000s Sonic games. Drummond, Dreier and Corkery all worked on Sonic Heroes, while Pollock became the English voice of Eggman shortly afterward and went on to define the role for another generation of games.
PRGE is presenting the appearances as part of its wider Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary celebration.
Sonic historian and content creator G To The Next Level will also take part, with programming built around Sonic’s history and some of the less commonly discussed corners of the franchise. PRGE’s official guest page lists G as appearing on Saturday and Sunday.
The Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2026 runs from October 9 through October 11 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
That weekend is becoming a busy one for Sonic’s anniversary. October 9 also brings Club Chaos and the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds World Championship Finals in New York, while Portland will be looking back at a very different part of the franchise’s history with several of its former and current English voice actors.
For fans of the Adventure and Heroes era in particular, Drummond, Dreier and Corkery appearing together should make PRGE one of the more interesting Sonic convention stops of the anniversary year.
