SONIC PICO PARK is heading home from Gamescom and straight toward another major convention, and this time there will be some new merchandise waiting for it.
SEGA and ATLUS have launched their official Tokyo Game Show 2026 website, confirming that both SONIC PICO PARK and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be part of the company’s lineup when the show takes over Makuhari Messe from September 17 through September 21.
And PICO PARK is getting a fairly substantial presence.
SEGA’s current lineup lists SONIC PICO PARK with a playable demo, activities, novelties and stage events, giving attendees several different ways to interact with the upcoming co-op title beyond simply getting another hands-on session. Exactly what those activities and giveaways involve has not been revealed yet, with SEGA promising to continue updating the TGS website as the event approaches.
There is also some new merchandise on the way.
SEGA specifically confirms that the TGS merchandise area will carry SONIC PICO PARK items receiving advance sales at the event, alongside early-release merchandise for STRANGER THAN HEAVEN and Persona 4 Revival. The actual PICO PARK products have not been shown yet, so we will have to wait a little longer before discovering exactly what Sonic and Pico Cat are being printed, turned into acrylic or otherwise attached to.
That is particularly interesting given that merchandise has been part of the game’s plans from the beginning. When SONIC PICO PARK was announced, PICO PARK Inc. confirmed that a wider range of products featuring the collaboration characters was planned alongside the game. TGS now gives us the first confirmed venue where at least some of those goods will go on sale.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be back at Tokyo Game Show as well, with SEGA listing a playable demo, novelties and stage events for the racer.
The game certainly knows its way around Makuhari Messe by now.
Sonic City covered CrossWorlds’ particularly large TGS 2025 showing last year, which included playable crossover characters, live programming, Project ONSOKU performances, themed food and exclusive merchandise shortly before the game’s original launch. With the game now well into its post-launch content cycle, it will be interesting to see what SEGA chooses to spotlight this time around.
SONIC PICO PARK, meanwhile, is arriving in Japan fresh from its current Gamescom 2026 appearance. We previously reported that both Sonic titles would be playable at SEGA’s Cologne booth, making TGS the latest stop in an increasingly busy event schedule for the upcoming co-op game.
Fans who cannot make it to Japan will not necessarily miss all of the action, either. SEGA says every stage program will once again be livestreamed through YouTube, with the schedule set to include first-time reveals, TGS-exclusive performances and gameplay featuring popular influencers. A complete timetable will be announced later.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 runs from September 17 through September 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. September 17 and 18 are business days, while the show opens to the general public from September 19 through September 21. The SEGA/ATLUS booth will be located at Hall 4-N01, with merchandise available separately from Hall 11-W03.
There are still plenty of details missing, particularly those SONIC PICO PARK goods and the individual Sonic stage schedules, but SEGA says the dedicated TGS site will continue expanding with booth maps, giveaways, campaigns and additional information ahead of September.
