SONIC PICO PARK finally has a release date, and it is heading to considerably more platforms than we knew about before.
SEGA and PICO PARK Inc. have announced that the Sonic and PICO PARK crossover will launch on November 12, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.
The platform announcement fills one of the biggest gaps left since the game was revealed. When Sonic City covered its cross-platform multiplayer confirmation in August, SONIC PICO PARK still carried a general 2026 release window and Steam was the only platform publicly attached to the game.
Now we know it will be arriving simultaneously across the current Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.
The new announcement also comes with another look at the game in action. SONIC PICO PARK keeps the simple goal of the original series, getting every player to the goal plate at the end of a stage, but mixes that setup with Sonic mechanics. Every playable character can use the Spin Dash, while stages incorporate familiar elements including rings, springs and loops.
The game supports 2 to 8 players locally or online, with cross-platform multiplayer allowing players on different supported systems to play together. On PC, up to seven local players can also join an online game from a single machine. Steam currently lists TECOPARK as developer and PICO PARK Inc. as publisher.
The November release comes after SONIC PICO PARK makes its first public playable appearance in Japan at Tokyo Game Show 2026. SEGA has already prepared a special TGS demo alongside merchandise, giveaways and stage programming for the crossover.
Interestingly, the Steam store page was still showing its release date as “To be announced” when the new announcement went live, so the September 9 trailer and official social posts are currently ahead of the storefront itself.
