DC and SEGA of America have officially released the second issue of DC x Sonic the Hedgehog, the crossover comic event that brings together the worlds of Team Sonic and the Justice League. The new issue is available starting today, April 16, at comic book shops and online retailers across the U.S., continuing the story that launched to huge fanfare last month.

Following the sellout success of DC x Sonic the Hedgehog #1, which quickly disappeared from distributor shelves after its March 19 debut, DC is responding to demand with a second printing. Fans who missed out the first time will be able to pick up the reprint of Issue #1 on April 30. This new version features a recolored edition of Pablo M. Collar’s main cover and a new open-to-order variant showcasing Sonic suited up as The Flash.

The comic series is written by longtime Sonic writer Ian Flynn and illustrated by Adam Bryce Thomas. In the first issue, Darkseid made his dramatic entrance by invading Sonic’s world through a dimensional rift, setting off a multiverse-spanning crisis. With alliances quickly forming between Sonic, the Justice League, and friends like Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, the second issue continues the high-speed, high-stakes adventure.
Graphic Policy praised the debut, noting that it delivers “plenty of action and fun” while staying true to both franchises. The crossover has already offered standout moments like Sonic teaming up with The Flash, and an emotional, unexpected bond between Shadow the Hedgehog and Batman that resonated with fans.
