Disguise, Inc. has announced a new multi-year licensing agreement with SEGA of America to produce official Sonic the Hedgehog costumes across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. As part of this agreement, Disguise becomes the sole authorized manufacturer of costumes based on Sonic’s core IP, which includes characters from the games, animated series, and films.

Disguise has already launched popular costume lines for Sonic Prime, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. With this new partnership, the company will expand its Sonic offerings to include new costumes, masks, accessories, and seasonal items that reflect the iconic characters fans have loved for decades.

According to Tara Cortner, President and General Manager of Disguise, securing exclusive rights to Sonic’s costume IP was a strategic decision that aligns with the company’s global expansion plans. She highlighted Disguise’s commitment to crafting imaginative, high-quality costumes that resonate with Sonic fans of all ages. SEGA of America’s Licensing Director Alex Gomez echoed this sentiment, noting that the response to Disguise’s Sonic costumes has been overwhelmingly positive, and this agreement ensures continued access to premium options for fans looking to bring their favorite characters to life.

This collaboration also opens the door for Disguise to explore new materials and creative costume designs, making their Sonic line more immersive and detailed than ever. As Sonic’s popularity continues to soar—thanks to record-breaking films and anticipated game releases—Disguise’s ongoing investment guarantees that fans will have fresh ways to celebrate their love for the franchise.

The announcement follows a wave of Sonic momentum, including the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 4K Blu-ray steelbook release and the complete Sonic Prime Blu-ray collection, arriving in June.
