Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year Two Showcase Set for October 9, Twitch Drops Include Live & Learn

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting its next major Year Two reveal on October 9, and SEGA has now laid out exactly how the World Championship Finals will lead into it.

The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds World Championship Finals livestream begins at 12:00 PM ET, bringing the top qualifying racers together in New York City before the broadcast concludes with a Year Two Showcase at 4:00 PM ET.

The current schedule has Group A racing beginning at 12:10 PM, followed by Group B at 1:10 PM and the Top 12 at 2:05 PM. The Year Two Showcase then begins at 4:00 PM, followed by an intermission at 4:30 PM pointing viewers toward Club Chaos. SEGA notes that the timings remain subject to change.

The showcase should finally fill in more of the game’s second-year roadmap. When Bayonetta was revealed as the first free racer of Year Two, SEGA also showed more of the previously announced Godzilla and EVANGELION packs. Season Pass Two contains six crossover DLC packs in total, leaving four collaborations still unrevealed.

SEGA is calling the October segment a “very special showcase for what to expect in Year Two,” so this should be considerably more than another small character update.

There is also a good reason to keep the Twitch stream running before that showcase begins. SEGA has revealed a set of World Championship Finals Twitch Drops, with rewards unlocking as viewers accumulate watch time.

The first reward arrives after 30 minutes, granting 1,000 Donpa Tickets. Watching for one hour unlocks two World Championship decals, while 1.5 hours earns a special World Championship 2026 title.

The final reward is probably the most interesting one for longtime Sonic fans. After two hours, viewers can unlock an in-game album containing “Live & Learn” and “Live & Learn [For Final Lap]”, complete with Sonic Adventure 2 20th Anniversary artwork.

The Drops apply to Sonic’s official Twitch broadcast as well as mirror streams from selected creators. SEGA also notes that these rewards may become available again through future events, campaigns or updates, so they are not necessarily permanent exclusives.

The Finals themselves conclude the championship campaign that began with worldwide qualifiers through Legends Competition Round 6 earlier this summer. Those qualifiers determined the 24 players advancing to New York City for the October 9 Finals.

Phil “EE” Visu will host the broadcast alongside Emerldd and Gabby Durden. Choctopus, GamesCage, SamProcrastinates and Skootish will also attend in person, while angelxoxo, AnnieFuchsia, Arielle, ConnorEatsPants, criken, DGR_Dave, Dhalucard, GrandPooBear, hanner, HortyUnderscore, HylianDescent, Lightorias, Lythero, maisy, Nezba, Patty, RTGame, Runebee, ToriOriane and tortedelini are confirmed as co-streamers.

The Finals will stream through Sonic’s official Twitch channel and YouTube channel.

Once the Year Two Showcase finishes, attention shifts directly toward Club Chaos, SEGA’s one-night Sonic 35th anniversary celebration in Brooklyn. The event will feature Thundercat, Austin Millz and Tee Lopes alongside the Sonic Speed Café, games, merchandise, character appearances and other activities spread across seven themed areas.

That makes October 9 a fairly packed day for CrossWorlds: the first World Championship Finals, several hours of Twitch Drops, a major Year Two showcase and Club Chaos immediately afterward.
