Limited Run Games has shared a new production update for the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds statue, confirming that SEGA has officially approved the sample sent in for final review.

The approval means the statue can now move into full-scale manufacturing, bringing it a major step closer to fans who pre-ordered the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Collector’s Edition.

According to Limited Run Games, the final approval process involved SEGA producers carefully examining the physical sample to confirm its overall quality, visual accuracy, and functionality. The review also included a small discussion about how to balance extremely fine details with the need to keep the statue consistent across the full production run.

In the end, both Limited Run Games and SEGA agreed that the final piece looks strong and should maintain that quality for everyone who receives one.

The update follows earlier production refinements made to the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds statue, including adjustments to the background details, logo placement, light-up effects, and Sonic’s vehicle colors. With SEGA’s approval now secured, the statue has cleared one of the most important steps before mass production.

Limited Run Games also noted that the smoother approval process for the CrossWorlds statue is a positive sign for the separate Sonic X Shadow Generations statue. That piece is still moving through its own sample process, with the manufacturer continuing work on the final version. Limited Run says it hopes to share more news and images on that statue before too long.

For now, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds fans can take this as good news. The Collector’s Edition statue has passed final review, manufacturing is moving ahead, and the display piece is now one big step closer to reaching shelves.
