SEGA is bringing Sonic to the Philippines for nearly two weeks of games, merchandise and oversized blue hedgehogs.
SEGA ATLUS FEST 2026 will run from September 1 through September 13 at The Block Atrium inside SM North EDSA, with Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds officially named among the franchises and games represented at this year’s event.
SEGA describes the festival as one large celebration bringing together several of the company’s major properties, with Sonic appearing alongside Like a Dragon, the Persona series and its ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations, Persona 4 Revival, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Angry Birds and Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!.
For Sonic fans, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is specifically highlighted as part of the event, while SEGA is advertising limited game trials, exclusive merchandise, themed booths, official larger-than-life inflatables and additional activities throughout the festival.
The official event artwork puts Sonic front and center alongside Kazuma Kiryu, Persona characters, Hatsune Miku and Red from Angry Birds, while also advertising a SEGA ATLUS Retail Corner, giant inflatables and exclusive game trials running September 1–13.
Philippine outlet UnGeek, which first reported details of the festival on August 27 ahead of SEGA’s new first-party announcement, also identifies Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds among the games being highlighted at the event and says visitors can expect playable demos, photo opportunities, merchandise and activities.
SEGA’s August 31 announcement stops short of providing a complete title-by-title breakdown of the playable stations, so it has not yet detailed exactly what portion of CrossWorlds visitors will be able to experience. The game is nevertheless explicitly included among the major properties being brought to the event.
This is also the latest major public appearance for CrossWorlds during a particularly busy stretch of live events. The racer continues to feature prominently in SEGA’s event lineup well after launch, giving attendees another opportunity to get hands-on with the game alongside the company’s wider catalogue.
SEGA ATLUS FEST itself is returning to the Philippines after the 2025 edition was held at the SM Mall of Asia, but this year’s event moves to The Block at SM North EDSA and expands into a much longer September run. UnGeek notes that the previous festival took place in December, making the 2026 edition a considerably earlier return.
For local Sonic fans, that means nearly two weeks to check out SEGA’s latest Sonic presence without having to travel to one of the company’s larger international trade-show appearances.
