NEPTUN Reveals Sonic 35th Anniversary Streetwear Collection, Launching September 18 for One Week

After teasing its Sonic collaboration earlier in the day, NEPTUN has now pulled back the curtain on its full Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary streetwear collection, and this one goes considerably further than a few logo tees.

The German streetwear label revealed the range through a six-part Instagram carousel on September 5, with the collection set to launch on September 18 at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT, or 6 PM BST, and remain available for one week only.

Among the biggest pieces are four Chinese-inspired toggle jackets themed around Sonic, Shadow, Tails and Knuckles. Each uses character embroidery alongside checkerboard detailing running down the sleeves, combining NEPTUN’s oversized streetwear styling with imagery pulled directly from the games.

Sonic and Shadow are also getting their own skateboard decks, while the accessories include a blue-and-white Sonic duffel bag. The collection continues into several pairs of baggy jeans, including character-focused designs and pairs built around the series’ familiar checkerboard motifs.

One of the more unusual denim pieces depicts Sonic bouncing from a spring above a Green Hill-style checkerboard island, effectively turning a small piece of classic Sonic level design into a full leg graphic.

There is also a cobalt blue hoodie with an embossed SONIC wordmark across the front and a hood designed around Sonic’s eyes, giving the piece a character-inspired look without simply printing a large render across the chest.

NEPTUN has been leaning heavily into licensed pop-culture streetwear, but the Sonic collection arrives with some particularly convenient timing as SEGA continues celebrating the franchise’s 35th anniversary throughout 2026. Rather than sticking to basic anniversary branding, much of the range works recognizable Sonic imagery into the actual construction and shape of the clothing, particularly the checkerboard sleeves, character embroidery and Sonic-eye hood.

Prices have not been detailed in the reveal, so for now the most important thing to remember is the very short sales window. The Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary collection launches September 18 and will only be available for one week through NEPTUN.
