Sonic Super Festa 2026 Brings Sonic’s 35th Anniversary to PSO2 New Genesis

Sonic’s 35th anniversary is heading back to Halpha with a new Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis celebration.

During the latest NGS Headline WAVE broadcast, SEGA announced Sonic Super Festa 2026, a new Sonic the Hedgehog anniversary event for PSO2 New Genesis. The event will include limited-time Sonic-inspired quests, login bonuses, statues in Central City, Scratch Ticket rewards, a birthday boost campaign, and returning Sonic-style outfits.

Starting June 17, Special Training: Sonic Sprint 2 and Special Training: Shadow Sprint 2 will be added to the daily rotation for a limited time. These Sonic-inspired quests have been remixed with new enemy spawns and adjusted enemy levels.

In the Sonic Sprint quests, players will race across Halpha while collecting Rings and Chaos Emeralds to earn Quest Points. The more players collect, the stronger they become, allowing them to power up before taking on the boss enemy.

The update will also add Sonic-themed login bonuses and statues of Sonic and friends in Central City, giving the hub area a festive look for the anniversary celebration.

Sonic Super Festa 2026 will also bring the Sonic Collab SP Scratch Ticket ’26 starting June 17. The new Scratch Ticket will feature a range of Sonic collaboration items, including T-shirts commemorating Sonic’s 35th anniversary and a Shadow cosplay outfit. Players will also be able to receive up to 100 Sonic Collab SP Scratch Tickets through the login bonus.

Sonic’s birthday celebration will continue on June 23 with a special 35th Anniversary Boost. On that day, PSO2 New Genesis will offer a Rare Drop Rate boost of up to 350 percent when stacked with the existing boosts from PSO2 Day.

Players will also be able to receive 35 Sonic Collab SP Scratch Tickets by entering the keyword “SONIC_35th_Anniv.” in the in-game chat.

A Sonic Style Heroines Revival AC Scratch Ticket will also begin on June 23 at 12:00 AM. The revival will bring back outfits inspired by Sonic, Shadow, and Tails. Players will also be able to obtain totalwear for Aina, Manon, and Nadereh through the Scratch Count Bonus.

With special quests, anniversary items, login rewards, Sonic statues, birthday bonuses, and returning character-inspired outfits, Sonic Super Festa 2026 looks set to give PSO2 New Genesis players another major way to celebrate Sonic’s 35th anniversary in-game.
