Sonic’s 34th birthday is just around the corner, and SEGA is celebrating in style with a brand-new crossover in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Ver.2. Starting June 4, 2025, players can jump into a festive collaboration packed with themed quests, cosmetics, and login rewards featuring the Blue Blur and his crew.
Login Bonus – Sonic Acrylic Stand Build Parts
To kick things off, players who log in beginning June 4 (Wednesday) will receive Sonic-themed Build Parts that resemble acrylic display stands. Characters featured include Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Dr. Eggman. These items are perfect for decorating your creative spaces and showing off your Sonic fandom in-game.

AC Scratch Ticket – Sonic Style Heroines
Launching the same day is the new Sonic Style Heroines AC Scratch Ticket lineup, which brings Sonic-inspired fashion to key PSO2 characters. Items include:
- Aina’s Sonic-themed outfit
- Manon’s Shadow-inspired look
- Nadereh’s costume based on Tails

This Scratch set also includes new Motion Changes based on Shadow’s Doom Wing, plus themed stamps, Build Parts, and more extras for players to collect.

June 18 Update – New Quests and Special Scratch
The second half of the event begins June 18 (Wednesday), adding two new limited-time training quests:
- Special Training: Sonic Sprint
- Special Training: Shadow Sprint
These quests will rotate daily and include enhanced enemy waves and higher difficulty options. Completing them will earn players exclusive collab rewards.

Also launching is a Sonic Collab SP Scratch, which bundles additional accessories and customization items inspired by Sonic and his allies.

Sonic Returns to Central City
Throughout the event, statues of Sonic and friends will be displayed in Central City, adding a festive touch to the in-game environment. Fans can pose for screenshots alongside their favorite characters while soaking in the anniversary celebration.

Whether you’re a long-time ARKS defender or a Sonic fan checking out PSO2 for the first time, this crossover has plenty to offer.

I was excited until I saw it was some scratch ticket bs, you lost me. I prefer when they let us just buy sonic outfits in the past.
