Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe, the immersive family-friendly restaurant pop-up, is officially opening its first Missouri location in St. Louis on April 25, 2026.
The new pop-up marks the seventh Speed Cafe location overall and will temporarily take over Nudo House on the iconic Delmar Loop in University City. The latest stop is the newest collaboration between SEGA and restaurant collaborator Andy Nguyen of The Lunchbox Group LLC.
Designed to make guests feel as though they have stepped into Sonic the Hedgehog’s world, the St. Louis location will feature custom decor, themed food and drinks, exclusive packaging, and merchandise unique to the city.
The menu will include returning Speed Cafe items inspired by the Sonic series, such as Sonic the Hedgehog’s Chili Dog, the Knuckles Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Power-Up Onion Rings. Character-themed drinks will also be available, including the Sonic Boom Lemonade and the Chaos Emerald Refresher.
Each order will come in custom-designed packaging exclusive to the St. Louis location, featuring artwork of fan-favorite characters. Guests will also be able to purchase St. Louis-themed Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe merchandise, including T-shirts, hats, mugs, and hooded sweatshirts sold only at the Delmar Loop pop-up.
The St. Louis menu, crafted by Chef Marie-Anne Velasco and Qui Tran of Nudo House, will also feature several exclusive items created specifically for this location. These include the Arch City Hot Dog, an all-beef hot dog topped with St. Louis-style pulled pork, barbecue sauce, pickles, and crunchy onions, as well as the Sayonara Dog, which comes with kewpie mayo, teriyaki sauce, bonito flakes, shichimi togarashi, nori, sesame seeds, and green onions.
Other location-exclusive offerings include E-123 Omega’s Red Hot Revenge, a spicy St. Louis-inspired version of the Knuckles fried chicken sandwich coated in Red Hot Riplets and topped with pickled slaw, Rouge’s Gold Heist Bites, which are gouda mac and cheese balls, Charmy’s Chaotix Corn, featuring seasoned corn ribs with lime and gochujang mayo, and Crabmeat’s Rangoons, a colorful take on the classic St. Louis crab rangoon.
The Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe first debuted in San Diego, California in July 2023, where it drew long lines and strong reception from both Sonic fans and food lovers. Since then, the pop-up has appeared at multiple locations in California, as well as in Texas, Georgia, and Illinois.
The St. Louis pop-up officially opens on April 25, 2026, at 6105-A Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63112. After the event concludes, the space will return to operating as Nudo House.
