SEGA is celebrating a major social media milestone with a new batch of free icons for fans.

The company’s official Japanese X account has surpassed 600,000 followers, and to thank fans for their continued support, SEGA has released 60 commemorative SNS icons featuring characters, games, consoles, and brands from across its history.

The campaign is available until June 30, 2026, giving fans a limited time to download the icons and use them for personal social media purposes.

Sonic the Hedgehog is strongly represented in the lineup. The available icons include Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Sonic Rumble Party, Sonic & Friends, newly drawn Sonic artwork for SEGA’s official SNS, and several “Sonic traveling the world” icons.

The wider icon selection also includes several other SEGA, ATLUS, and Rovio-related franchises and characters. Fans can find icons based on Like a Dragon, Puyo Puyo, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, Virtua Fighter, SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, Sakura Wars, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Persona 3 Reload, Jack Frost, Angry Birds, and more.

SEGA’s hardware history is also part of the celebration, with icons based on the 16-bit era, Mega Drive, SEGA Saturn, and Dreamcast. Classic arcade titles such as Hang-On, Space Harrier, OutRun, and R360 are also included, making the campaign a broad celebration of SEGA’s past and present.

To download the icons, fans can click their preferred image on SEGA’s campaign page, open it in a separate page, then right-click and save the image.

The follower milestone also arrives alongside SEGA’s 66th anniversary. SEGA was established on June 3, 1960, and the official account marked the occasion with a birthday message celebrating the company’s long history.

With Sonic, SEGA hardware, arcade classics, modern releases, and several major franchises all included, the 600,000 follower icon campaign gives fans a fun way to celebrate SEGA’s anniversary and show off their favorite characters online.
