Hello Rumblers!
The latest Spotlight previews several major additions and events coming to Sonic Rumble Party over the next few weeks, with a strong focus on new Sonic-themed content.
One of the biggest reveals is the new Wasteland Event, which begins on April 22, 2026 at 8:00 AM UTC and runs until May 13, 2026 at 7:59 AM UTC. During the event, players can earn rewards such as the Wasteland-themed Dust Clouds effect, a Wasteland icon, stickers, and more.
The Premium Pass for the event includes the Wasteland Shadow skin and a Wasteland Chao buddy. Players can also collect XP from battles to progress through the Event Pass and complete Event Missions to earn enhancement materials for skins and buddies.
Alongside the event, the Red Star Ring Shop has also been updated with several new Wasteland-themed skins. Wasteland Surge, Wasteland Metal Sonic, Wasteland Knuckles, Wasteland Zavok, and Wasteland Zazz are all now available in the shop from April 22, 2026 at 8:00 AM UTC through May 13, 2026 at 7:59 AM UTC.
Another major shop update includes the arrival of Pounce Shadow, the winning design from last year’s skin design contest. The new skin is now available in the Red Star Ring Shop starting April 22, 2026 at 8:00 AM UTC and will remain available until May 27, 2026 at 7:59 AM UTC.
The Spotlight also teased more content planned for the Half-Anniversary celebration itself. Among the upcoming additions are Infinite, who will be available for free through a community challenge, and Neo Metal Sonic, who is set to arrive alongside fake metal versions of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
SEGA also previewed the upcoming debut of Perfect Chaos as a new co-op boss, continuing the game’s expansion with larger featured battles. Other content mentioned in the presentation includes the return of Emerl as part of a Shadow 20th anniversary bundle, as well as sales for Jester Sonic, Baseball Amy, Tangle, and Storm.
With the Half-Anniversary approaching on May 5, Sonic Rumble Party is clearly building toward a content-heavy celebration, bringing in new events, skins, bosses, shop updates, and fan-favorite characters.
