SEGA’s legendary Blue Blur is burning rubber in Asphalt Legends Unite! Starting today, fans can join Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Eggman, and even a Chao in a brand-new time-limited collaboration event that’s as fast-paced as it is fan-focused.
Running from May 29 to June 26, this crossover launches with Collector Mode, a new gameplay format where players can collect gold rings while racing through stylish circuits. Each ring pick-up comes with the classic sound effect fans instantly recognize—bringing that signature Sonic feel to every lap.
Rings collected in Collector Mode can be used to unlock limited-time vehicle decals, transforming high-performance supercars into tributes to your favorite Sonic characters. Here’s the full themed lineup:
- Sonic the Hedgehog – SSC Ultimate Aero TT
- Tails – Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport
- Knuckles – Apex AP-0
- Shadow – Nissan GTR Neon
- Amy – Lamborghini Revuelto
- Dr. Eggman – Donkervoort D8 GTO Individual Series
- Chao – DS e-Tense
But that’s just the beginning. A second mode called Boss Mode pits players against these Sonic-themed cars in escalating 1v1 challenges. The difficulty increases each week, offering skilled racers even more opportunities to prove themselves.
To make the event even more nostalgic, classic Sonic music and sound effects will accompany gameplay—complete with the legendary “Stage Complete” jingle.* Whether you’re drifting through tight corners or going head-to-head with rivals, the audio experience is pure fan service.
This collab is part of Asphalt Legends Unite’s “Racing Around the World” campaign and marks the first time Sonic and friends have officially joined the series. With exclusive rewards, retro soundscapes, and a roster of high-speed heroes, it’s one of the most exciting Sonic crossovers yet.
