Blue PICO CAT has a new job: running a convenience store! SEGA and PICO PARK Inc. have announced PICO MART: Now Open at Sonic Speed! (「PICO MART」ただいま音速営業中！), a new official YouTube program for SONIC PICO PARK that will premiere on October 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM JST.
The fictional store will serve as the setting for the program, which promises fresh game information, merchandise news and gameplay sessions ahead of SONIC PICO PARK’s November 12 launch.
Blue PICO CAT will be taking on the role of store manager, voiced by Takuya Tani of Japanese comedy duo Pumpkin Potato Fry. Joining him behind the counter is Airi Hiruta, playing the store’s employee.
The first episode will be broadcast through the official PICO PARK YouTube channel and SEGA’s YouTube channel.
The announcement follows the recent addition of Silver the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat to the game’s playable roster. Both characters were also available in a playable demo at CLUB CHAOS: A Sonic 35th Celebration in New York earlier this month.
But there’s another interesting detail in the latest batch of screenshots. One of the images appears to show rail grinding, with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow travelling along two rails, complete with sparks beneath their feet!
It’s another familiar Sonic feature making its way into the crossover, alongside the Spin Dash, Rings, loops and springs. Exactly how rail grinding will work in the game’s cooperative puzzles hasn’t been explained yet, but it’s certainly a welcome sight.
SONIC PICO PARK supports two to eight players locally or online, with cross-platform multiplayer letting friends on different supported systems tackle the puzzles together.
The game is scheduled for digital release on November 12, 2026, in Japan, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Windows and Steam. You can already add it to your Steam wishlist.
