Metal Sonic and Dr. Eggman aren’t coming to SONIC PICO PARK to solve puzzles!
A new trailer has revealed both villains as boss encounters, giving Sonic and his friends some familiar enemies to deal with when the cooperative puzzle game launches next week.
Metal Sonic makes his entrance first, with the trailer showing the robotic hedgehog pursuing players across a series of platforms. Sonic’s mechanical rival is looking right at home in the game’s pixel-art style, although his appearance brings a rather different challenge from the usual cooperative puzzles.
Eggman follows in his trusty Eggmobile, complete with a boss health bar stretching across the top of the screen. The trailer shows him swinging a massive wrecking ball through the arena as players attempt to avoid his attacks.
Both villains are shown as special encounters that appear during certain stages, rather than additions to the game’s regular playable roster.
The reveal comes alongside the third episode of the official PICO MART program, following the recent introduction of Team Chaotix. Vector, Espio and Charmy joined an expanding character lineup that already includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Rouge, Omega, Silver, Blaze and several others.
Developed by TECOPARK, SONIC PICO PARK launches November 12, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The game supports cooperative play for two to eight players, both locally and online.
