Bloodmoon Werehog Event Begins in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

Halloween has brought another rather fearsome Challenger to Sonic Forces: Speed Battle! Bloodmoon Werehog has officially arrived in SEGA HARDlight’s mobile racer, with a new event beginning October 22 that lets players complete missions and collect character cards to unlock him.

And he’s not the only one getting in on the action! Dragon Hunter Sonic and Demon Hunter Shadow are also taking part in the festivities, with bonus missions featuring both characters available alongside the new Werehog event.

If you’ve been following HARDlight’s recent announcements, this particular Werehog should look familiar. The character was first named as a new Halloween Challenger in the game’s version 7.5.0 update notes back in September, before HARDlight shared a teaser on September 22 with the message “The Blood Moon Rises.”

The new variant gives Sonic’s familiar transformation from Sonic Unleashed a decidedly more imposing appearance, although the actual event is all about collecting enough cards to add him to your roster.

Both Dragon Hunter Sonic and Demon Hunter Shadow have previously appeared in Speed Battle, so their inclusion here comes in the form of additional missions rather than new character debuts.
