SEGA has announced a special Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary livestream titled “Minna to Shaberitai Game o Motte Kita!” (“I Brought Games I Want to Talk About With Everyone!”), which will air on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM JST on YouTube.

The broadcast will celebrate Sonic’s 35th anniversary with a packed lineup of guests, Sonic series creators, live gameplay, music, developer stories, and new announcements from across the franchise.
The guest lineup includes voice actress Aoi Yūki, YouTuber Rejekun, Vocaloid producer Yunosuke, esports caster Yu Minakami, Sonic Pico Park producer Shintaro Shimazu, and Sonic Pico Park director Shunsuke Miyake.






SEGA will also bring together several key Sonic developers and creators for behind-the-scenes discussions about past titles in the series. The lineup includes Sonic Creative Director Kazuyuki Hoshino, Sonic series producers Shun Nakamura and Sachiko Kawamura, Sonic series Sound Directors Tomoya Ohtani and Jun Senoue, Sonic series directors Katsuyuki Shigihara and Morio Kishimoto, game planner and Sonic story supervisor Eitaro Toyoda, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Creative Director Ken Kobayakawa, and SEGA sound creator Kanon Okuni.
The program will feature development stories from throughout Sonic’s history, a B2B special DJ live performance by Yunosuke and Kanon Okuni, and hands-on gameplay from the latest Sonic titles.
Fans can also expect new information on Sonic Pico Park, the upcoming cooperative action puzzle game created in collaboration with the PICO PARK series. The broadcast will include updates from producer Shintaro Shimazu and director Shunsuke Miyake, giving fans another look at how the Sonic crossover is taking shape.
SEGA will also share the latest season information for Sonic Rumble Party, along with new updates for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which is continuing to expand through additional downloadable content.
The announcement also teases world premiere topics that will only be shown during the livestream, making the broadcast one of the key events of Sonic’s 35th anniversary celebrations.

Sonic the Hedgehog officially celebrates his 35th anniversary on June 23, 2026. Since debuting in 1991, the series has grown into one of SEGA’s biggest global franchises, with more than 1.77 billion full game and free-to-play units combined. Sonic has also expanded far beyond games through films, animation, music, merchandise, live events, and collaborations around the world.
With Sonic Pico Park updates, Sonic Rumble Party news, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds DLC details, developer stories, music performances, and world premiere reveals all planned, SEGA’s anniversary special looks set to be one of the biggest Sonic broadcasts of the year.
