Limited Run Games has shared a new production update for the statue included with the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Collector’s Edition.
The company said it has received many questions about Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds while continuing to update fans on its separate overhaul of the Sonic X Shadow Generations Collector’s Edition statue. Limited Run explained that the two releases have similarities, as both feature Sonic, both include statues in their collector’s editions, and both have shipped later than originally planned.
However, Limited Run stressed that nothing went wrong with the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds statue. Instead, the team pushed the shipping window back to give the manufacturer extra time to bring the statue closer to the intended design.
According to the update, an early sample of the CrossWorlds statue already looked promising and included light-up effects. However, closer inspection showed a few issues that still needed to be corrected. The background decoration behind the cars included an extra Ring, the logo did not fit properly into its space, and Sonic’s car appeared darker than intended.

Limited Run requested a new sample, and the latest build appears to have addressed those points. The background has been corrected, the logo now fits properly, and Sonic’s vehicle has a brighter metallic finish that better matches the intended look.

The updated statue still needs to go through licensor review and approval, but Limited Run says it feels good about the progress so far.
The update follows the company’s recent reports on the revised Sonic X Shadow Generations statue, which has also gone through multiple improvements after fan feedback. With both collector’s edition statues now moving through refinement, Limited Run says the Sonic and Shadow statue projects are coming together nicely.
For fans waiting on the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Collector’s Edition, the update offers a clearer look at why the extra production time was added and what improvements have been made to the statue component before final approval.
