Sonic the Hedgehog #92 is the ninety-second issue of IDW Publishing’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. IDW Publishing describes the issue as the start of a new mini-arc in which Tangle and Whisper face both an unfamiliar danger and strain in their friendship. After a difficult conversation, the two friends decide to spend some time apart. Their separation coincides with the appearance of a mysterious fog that envelops Spiral Hill while Tangle is inside. Whisper enters the affected area with her Wisps in an attempt to rescue her friend.

The publisher explains that the apparent rescue mission is complicated by changes in Whisper’s surroundings and perception. The town and Tangle no longer seem to match what she remembers. Synopsis

This preliminary synopsis is based on the official advance solicitation. The comic is scheduled for release on 9 December 2026; events not disclosed in the solicitation are not included.

Tangle and Whisper agree to spend time apart following a disagreement. Before they can resolve the tension, a mysterious fog spreads across Spiral Hill with Tangle inside it. Whisper and her Wisps venture into the fog to find and rescue her.

As Whisper investigates, familiar people and places appear altered, raising doubts about what she can trust. The issue and its three cover editions were revealed on 18 August 2026 in Super Sonic Monthly #7, an AIPT Comics feature created in partnership with IDW Publishing and SEGA.
