Godzilla has arrived in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds!

SEGA’s first premium DLC pack of Year Two is now available for $5.99 USD, bringing the King of the Monsters into the game with a new course, three themed machines and music inspired by the collaboration.

The new Godzilla Escape course sends racers speeding through a city as Godzilla tears through the surroundings, forcing them to dodge the monster’s attacks while trying to reach the finish line.

There are three machines to choose from: the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf, each inspired by one of Toho’s iconic kaiju. The pack also adds three tracks to the in-game Jukebox: Godzilla Escape: Intro, Godzilla Escape and Godzilla Escape: Final Lap.

The pack is included with Season Pass Two, available separately for $29.99 USD, or the Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game and Season Pass Two for $59.99 USD. Players who only want the Godzilla content can purchase the pack on its own for $5.99 through their platform’s storefront or the in-game menu.

Existing Season Pass Two and Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition owners can access the content after updating the game and completing the tutorial. SEGA has also confirmed that players who don’t own the pack can still race against DLC owners online and encounter the Godzilla Escape course.

And there’s already a Festival on the way!

The Godzilla Festival begins on Thursday, November 5 at 4:00 PM PT (November 6 at 00:00 UTC) and runs until Sunday, November 15 at 3:59 PM PT (23:59 UTC).

The limited-time event brings players into three-team online competitions with special racing rules. By taking part and earning Festival Points, players can unlock themed rewards, including decals, horns and Gadgets to customize their machines and racing setups.

Festivals have also received some changes with the arrival of Year Two. Events now last ten days instead of three, while team rankings are based on winning streaks rather than total Festival Points. Finishing second no longer breaks a team’s winning streak, giving racers more opportunities to climb the rankings.

For the Godzilla Festival, the Blue Crown will go to the player with the most Rule Points on the winning team. SEGA also notes that Festival rewards are saved locally, meaning players who delete their save data will lose those rewards and cannot earn them again through the original event.

The Godzilla Pack arrives alongside the free Version 2.0.0 update, which introduces one-on-one Duel races, the new Super Slot and 15 additional Gadgets. You can read more about the game’s second year in Sonic City’s earlier coverage.

Players can find DLC purchasing instructions on SEGA’s official CrossWorlds guide.
