Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds continues to surprise as more in-game details roll out ahead of its September 25 launch. SEGA has now confirmed that the game will feature over 500 unique character exchanges and more than 1000 voice lines.

Shared via the game’s official accounts on Twitter, this feature promises fans a range of rival interactions, from first-time meetings to callbacks and fan-favorite dynamics. In a short preview clip, Zazz of the Deadly Six confronts Jet the Hawk, revealing they have never met, but that does not stop the trash talk. You can watch it here:

This approach gives CrossWorlds an edge over typical racing games, adding a fresh narrative layer. These interactions could encourage players to learn more about lesser-known characters or revisit older games, comics, and shows.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is shaping up to be more than just a competitive racer. With these dialogue systems and extensive voice work, it might also be one of the franchise’s most character-rich entries.
