Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is heading to arcades! SEGA has announced Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Arcade DX, a new arcade adaptation of its kart racer featuring a dedicated ride-on cabinet.
The surprise announcement came during the October 9 Club Chaos celebrations, following a packed day of CrossWorlds news that included the World Championship Finals and the game’s Year Two roadmap.

The first promotional image reveals a large, vertical-screen cabinet with a ride-on racing seat and steering controls, bringing a different way to experience the game beyond consoles and PC.
SEGA has yet to announce exactly how the arcade version will differ from the original game, including which courses, racers and gameplay features will make the transition. The cabinet shown is also marked as a work in progress, so its final design could change before release.
This marks a return to arcade racing for the series, following the arcade adaptation of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing released in 2011.
The announcement also comes as CrossWorlds prepares for its second year of updates, with a new Duel Mode, expanded Gadget customization and six additional crossover DLC packs scheduled to roll out from November 2026.
There’s no confirmed launch date or list of participating arcades for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Arcade DX just yet, with SEGA simply announcing that the game is coming to arcades.
