BEAMS has teamed up with Tokyo Game Show for a new apparel collection celebrating both TGS’s 30th anniversary and the fashion retailer’s 50th anniversary, with Sonic getting his own newly illustrated T-shirt for the occasion.
The Sonic the Hedgehog design is part of the GAME ARTeee COLLECTION from BEAMS MANGART, which brings together characters representing seven Japanese game companies. Each received new artwork from Zashiki Warashi, the illustrator behind the main visual for Tokyo Game Show 2026.

Sonic’s shirt uses a dark washed finish with the Sonic the Hedgehog logo above Zashiki Warashi’s take on the character, depicting her in goggles and a yellow jacket. BEAMS describes the illustration as a more delicate and distinctive interpretation of Sonic, combining the new artwork with the familiar series logo.
The shirt is priced at ¥6,600 including tax and went on sale September 15.
Sonic also appears in a separate group design alongside the six other game characters created for the collection. The lineup includes Mega Man from Mega Man Dual Override, Kalia from Atelier Kalia: The Night Kingdom and the Path of Memories, Rose from Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII, Astro from Astro Bot and Tasha from Ace Combat 8. The group shirt is being sold by reservation.

The collection went on sale at BEAMS Culture Takanawa and BEAMS Heart LaLaport TOKYO-BAY on September 15, with those physical-store sales running through September 28. The BEAMS online shop will continue carrying the range through December 31.
There will also be a smaller selection available directly at Tokyo Game Show 2026’s Family Game Park from September 19 through September 21. BEAMS says the individual Zashiki Warashi designs for Sonic, Mega Man and Astro are among the items scheduled to be sold there.
The collaboration is separate from SEGA’s own Sonic merchandise and stage plans for Tokyo Game Show 2026, adding another exclusive Sonic design to what is already becoming a rather crowded TGS merch lineup.
The GAME ARTeee COLLECTION is available now through participating BEAMS stores and the company’s online shop, with the Sonic shirt also heading to TGS during the public days.
