Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is heading into Fortnite’s orbit.
During the State of Unreal 2026 conference, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was revealed as one of several titles planned for future Fortnite collaborations. The announcement appears to be tied to Epic’s ongoing efforts to connect partner games through the Epic Games Store, with participating titles offering incentives for players who engage through the platform.
Details are still limited, so fans should not expect the full shape of the crossover just yet. At the moment, it has not been confirmed whether the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds collaboration will involve Fortnite cosmetics, in-game rewards, racing content, Epic Games Store bonuses, or another type of cross-promotional feature.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was shown alongside other upcoming Fortnite-connected collaborations, including Vampire Survivors, Control Resonant, and Phantom Blade Zero.
The reveal is another sign of how aggressively SEGA is positioning Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as a major crossover platform. The game has already leaned heavily into guest content and collaborations, with previously announced packs tied to franchises such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avatar, Godzilla, and Evangelion.
A Fortnite-related partnership could give Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds another major visibility boost, especially if the collaboration encourages players to connect the game through the Epic Games Store.
For now, the big takeaway is simple: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Fortnite are officially crossing paths in some form, but the exact rewards and timing remain under wraps.
