Morio Kishimoto, the director of Sonic Frontiers, recently confirmed that the iconic Spin Dash move will be added to the game in the second free DLC update. Fans have been eagerly anticipating this addition, especially since the drop dash from Sonic Mania was already included in the game.
The news was revealed when fans discovered lines of code and animations related to the Spin Dash in the first DLC update. When asked about this on Twitter, Kishimoto expressed surprise but also confirmed that the Spin Dash was indeed in development. He further explained that the move was originally intended to be included in the first update, but the dev team decided to perfect it before releasing it to fans.
