Sonic’s chili dogs are heading to Las Vegas, and this time there’s even a version topped with shaved prime rib! The Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe is opening a new pop-up in the city’s Chinatown district on October 17, bringing several Vegas-exclusive dishes, themed merchandise and a special opening weekend for fans.
The cafe will be located at 5600 Spring Mountain Road, Suite A, Las Vegas, NV 89146, in the former One Piece Cafe space. Its grand opening runs October 17–18, from 11 AM to 9 PM local time each day, with a Sonic meet-and-greet planned alongside the festivities. The first 35 customers who make a purchase each day will also receive a Sonic giveaway, limited to one per person.
The new Las Vegas menu is giving Sonic’s favorite food a local twist, starting with the Vegas Casino Night Dog, topped with shaved prime rib and horseradish peppercorn crema. There’s also a bacon-wrapped Neon Palace Dog, while Shadow gets his own Ultimate Sandwich. Big the Cat is joining the menu with Big’s Tackle Box, a fish-and-chips dish made with beer-battered Icelandic cod.
Returning favorites from previous Speed Cafe locations include the Classic Chili Dog, Knuckles Sandwich with Power-Up Rings, Sonic Boom Lemonade and Chaos Emerald Refresher. For dessert, fans can pick up Amy’s Strawberry Smash Blondie or Tails’ Tropical Takeoff Tart.
Alongside the food, the Las Vegas location will feature Sonic-themed decorations, custom character packaging and merchandise exclusive to this particular pop-up.
The restaurant is another collaboration between SEGA and Andy Nguyen’s The Lunchbox Group, which has brought the Speed Cafe to several cities across the United States. Sonic City previously covered the cafe’s first Missouri location in St. Louis earlier this year.
According to the Speed Cafe’s official opening announcement, the Las Vegas pop-up will remain open daily through December 2026. A specific closing date and regular daily operating hours beyond opening weekend have not yet been announced.
