Metal Sonic is getting a Halloween costume of his own for 2026, and this one goes a little further than the usual printed Sonic jumpsuit.
An officially licensed Kids Metal Sonic Costume is now listed through Spirit Halloween for $54.99. The set includes a blue jumpsuit covered in mechanical detailing, metallic-style gloves, boot covers and, most importantly, a light-up Metal Sonic half-mask with red LED eyes.
Those glowing eyes are battery powered, with the mask requiring two AA batteries, which are not included. Spirit lists the costume in Child Small, Medium, Large and XL sizes, and it is currently marked Online Only and In Stock. The retailer identifies it as item #08620387.
The costume also appears through Spencer’s under the same product number and $54.99 price, giving Metal Sonic a fairly substantial retail costume ahead of Halloween rather than relegating him to a mask or simple printed outfit.
Metal Sonic wasn’t among the characters highlighted when Sonic City’s earlier look at the 2026 Halloween range focused on Amy Rose joining Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. At the time, additional Sonic 35th anniversary styles had yet to be fully identified.
There is also a separate Metal Sonic costume program coming in 2027 alongside Sonic the Hedgehog 4 merchandise, but this is a different product already being sold for the 2026 Halloween season. The movie range is not due until next year.
Between the mechanical-print suit and a mask that can quite literally switch Metal Sonic’s eyes on, this is one of the more involved Sonic costumes to hit regular Halloween retail shelves in recent years.
