Even though September is here, the sunshine is still as powerful as ever! But that just makes this the season when we can start looking forward to autumn’s harvest♪
Featured in this month’s wallpaper is Knuckles, the echidna who lives surrounded by the great nature of Angel Island and whose favorite food is grapes!

Those flip-up glasses look rugged and cool! They suit Knuckles’ wild, rough-around-the-edges style perfectly, and I couldn’t help staring at them.
Since he isn’t fond of strong sunlight, maybe he chose something practical that lets him raise and lower the sunglass lenses with one hand, so he can still judge the color and sheen of the grapes even beneath the blazing sun… It certainly gets the imagination going♪
We’ve seen him wearing sunglasses in Sonic Adventure 2 as well, but this style feels really fresh, doesn’t it?
And in his hand is a magnificent bunch of plump, fully ripened grapes!
Could they have grown in the grape groves of Angel Island? With his thumb raised confidently and that mischievous, self-assured expression, you can almost hear the joy of the harvest in his voice.
A Straightforward, Dependable Guy!
When you think of Knuckles, you think of the guardian of the Master Emerald! With his strong sense of responsibility and power capable of smashing through rock, he’s someone you can always count on when it really matters.
On the other hand, he can be so pure-hearted that he sometimes falls for Dr. Eggman’s smooth talk… But I think that honest, straightforward nature is exactly what makes Knuckles so charming!
I’m sure he’d happily share his prized grapes with anyone, no matter who they were.
He might proudly declare, “My grapes are the best in the world!” only to give away so many that there aren’t any left for himself… That kind of ending would suit him perfectly.
You can practically picture him giving a thumbs-up while awkwardly saying, “W-Well, whatever! If everyone says they’re good, that’s enough for me!”
Whether he’s trading playful jabs with Sonic or getting teased by Rouge, Knuckles somehow always ends up being a character everyone loves♪
