Sticks the Badger is back in the spotlight! Sonic Channel’s October 2026 release commemorative illustration celebrates the 10th anniversary of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, bringing back one of the character’s more unusual adventures.
The official Japanese Sonic account shared the new artwork on October 28, a day after the Nintendo 3DS game’s Japanese release anniversary.

Sonic Channel’s accompanying message reads:
We’re revealing the October 2026 release commemorative illustration! 🎨
Sticks appears from Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, which celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday! 🪃
Mysterious extreme weather is engulfing the world! 🔥🧊
Could the key to it all be a little robot that Sticks fell in love with at first sight…?
To save her beloved friends, she faces a crisis threatening the world with her love turned up to the max! ❤️🔥
That little robot is D-Fekt, one of Dr. Eggman’s creations from Fire & Ice. Despite the trouble he causes, Sticks immediately becomes attached to him, affectionately calling him Ador-O-Bot 2000.
The 2016 adventure follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks as they investigate strange weather caused by Eggman’s Ragnium mining operation. The team gains fire and ice abilities to navigate the game’s stages, while D-Fekt’s involvement gives Sticks a rather different reason to care about the whole situation.
Originally released for Nintendo 3DS, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice launched in Japan on October 27, 2016, under the title Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice. Ten years later, Sonic Channel is revisiting the game’s story through Sticks and her memorable attachment to Eggman’s troublesome little robot.
The illustration follows September’s Sonic CD anniversary artwork, which featured Amy Rose alongside one of the mysterious Time Stones.
