Sonic’s 35th anniversary celebrations are speeding into Osaka with a new limited-time pop-up shop packed with merchandise from across the series.
The Sonic 35th Anniversary Pop-Up Shop will open at Kiddy Land Osaka Umeda on Saturday, June 27 and remain available through Tuesday, July 7, 2026. The shop will be located in the POP UP 1 space on the B1F level of the Hankyu Sanbangai North Building.
The event’s main visual brings together several eras of the Blue Blur, with Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic, and a pixel-style Sonic racing around a giant 35 alongside the seven Chaos Emeralds. It is a fitting look for a shop built around more than three decades of Sonic history.
The merchandise lineup covers several corners of the franchise. Fans can find Sonic 35th anniversary products alongside items inspired by Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, SONIC PICT, Sonic & Friends, and other recent collections.
Among the highlighted items are two sets of random Sonic character badges, Sonic and Shadow rubber keychains based on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, matching IC card cases, Sonic cover artwork croquis books, and Sonic & Friends pin badges featuring the characters in traditional Japanese clothing.
A Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds race graphic T-shirt will also be available, featuring artwork of the game’s racers across the front and additional details on the sleeve.
The shop will also stock a selection of Japanese-style Sonic merchandise built around artwork featuring Mount Fuji, plum blossoms, and moonlit scenery. The range includes rubber and metal keychains, hand towels, handkerchiefs, folding fans, T-shirts, tote bags, mugs, glasses, magnets, and stickers.
Visitors spending at least 2,000 yen including tax on eligible Sonic merchandise will receive one of three limited 35th anniversary stickers. The design will be selected at random, with customers able to receive a maximum of three stickers per transaction. The bonus will only be available while supplies last.
The three designs include the main 35th anniversary pop-up artwork, a lineup highlighting Sonic’s evolution through the years, and a Modern Sonic illustration surrounded by the Chaos Emeralds.
Products will be available in limited quantities, and some items may sell out during the event. Kiddy Land also notes that the schedule and contents may be changed or cancelled depending on circumstances.
The Sonic 35th Anniversary Pop-Up Shop will run from June 27 through July 7 at Kiddy Land Osaka Umeda.
