SEGA is launching its SEGA MUSIC label with a new Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary album.

Forever Fast – 35th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog is a two-disc compilation bringing together vocal themes from across Sonic’s 3D game history, starting with Sonic Adventure and continuing through the latest series entry, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

The album will include 22 tracks in total, covering a wide range of vocal themes from the franchise’s modern era. One of the main highlights is a newly recorded version of “Escape From The City” featuring Nathan Sharp, also known as NateWantsToBattle, who previously performed as one of the singers for Sonic 30th Anniversary Symphony.

Forever Fast – 35th Anniversary of Sonic The Hedgehog will be released on CD in Japan on June 24, 2026, with a digital release following on June 25. The physical edition is priced at 3,500 yen including tax, while the digital price has not yet been announced.

The product number is WWSM-001 to WWSM-002, with the album being released as a two-disc CD set.

Pre-orders are now available through several Japanese retailers, including Amazon Japan, Tower Records, Seven Net Shopping, and NeoWing. Amazon Japan is also listing a limited bonus version that includes a mega jacket and a general bonus item.

The album marks a fitting first release for the SEGA MUSIC label, especially during Sonic’s 35th anniversary year. Sonic vocal themes have become a defining part of the series since Sonic Adventure, with songs like “Open Your Heart,” “Live & Learn,” “Escape From The City,” and later vocal tracks helping shape the identity of Sonic’s 3D era.

With Forever Fast collecting music from Sonic Adventure through Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the compilation gives fans a new way to revisit nearly three decades of vocal themes from Sonic’s modern game history.
