A leaker who recently shared footage from the new Jet Set Radio project has returned with a new round of claims involving several major SEGA and Atlus franchises, including Sonic the Hedgehog.

The information should be treated strictly as rumor for now, as SEGA has not officially confirmed the Sonic-related details. Still, the claims have gained attention because the same source previously leaked a short Jet Set Radio trailer before sharing this wider batch of alleged updates.

For Sonic fans, the main claim is that announcements related to the franchise are planned for this year. The leaker also says they have heard about a new Sonic model, describing it as a “great improvement.” No images or further details about the model were shared, and it is currently unclear whether this would relate to a game, promotional material, animation, or another Sonic project.

The leaker also mentioned hearing at one point about Sonic appearing in Fortnite, but said they had not heard about it again and were not confident enough to fully stand by that claim. Because of that, the Sonic and Fortnite detail should be treated with extra caution.

The wider list of claims includes several other SEGA and Atlus projects. According to the leaker, Persona content is coming to Fortnite, a new character named Sierra will appear in Jet Set Radio, and a larger Jet Set Radio trailer is currently in the works separate from the short footage that was previously leaked.

The source also claims that Crazy Taxi will release before Jet Set Radio, Phantasy Star Online 3 is in development, and a new Puyo Puyo game is planned for next year. Other reported details include a Metaphor: ReFantazio port for Nintendo Switch 2, a new Ace Attorney announcement this year, a leaked image tied to a new Streets of Rage, and Hatsune Miku content coming to Persona 5: The Phantom X as part of anniversary celebrations.

While most of the claims are not directly tied to Sonic, they point to a potentially busy period for SEGA and Atlus if even part of the information proves accurate. SEGA has already been revisiting several of its major legacy franchises, including Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, making the broader lineup of claims notable for fans following the company’s larger revival plans.

For Sonic specifically, the most interesting detail is the mention of announcements this year and a reportedly improved Sonic model. With the franchise heading into its 35th anniversary cycle, fans are already expecting SEGA to have more planned across games, merchandise, music, media, and collaborations. However, until SEGA shares official news, the Sonic model claim and any possible Fortnite connection remain unconfirmed.

As always with leaks, fans should keep expectations measured. Some details may be accurate, some may be outdated, and others may never materialize publicly even if they were discussed internally.
