SEGA has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will take part in Paris Saint-Germain’s immersive pop-up event, ICI C’EST PARIS La Maison Tokyo, which will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo from May 2 through May 5, 2026.
To celebrate the collaboration, SEGA has also unveiled a special new illustration of Sonic wearing a Paris Saint-Germain uniform. During the event period, visitors will be able to enjoy several Sonic-themed attractions, including character appearances, game demo experiences, and the distribution of limited collaboration novelties.

ICI C’EST PARIS La Maison Tokyo is described as an experiential pop-up space where fashion, food, music, and art come together under the Paris Saint-Germain brand. Following previous stops in Los Angeles, Doha, and London, the event is now heading to Shibuya, Tokyo.
The event will run from May 2 to May 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at MEDIA DEPARTMENT TOKYO, located at 19-3 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Admission will be free, although some content will require advance reservations and may have attendance limits.
As part of the Sonic collaboration, Sonic will appear at the venue for special greetings alongside Paris Saint-Germain’s mascot, Germain. SEGA describes it as a rare opportunity to see both globally recognized characters together in person during the event.

Visitors will also receive an ICI C’EST PARIS La Maison Tokyo x SONIC THE HEDGEHOG collaboration sticker. Distribution is limited to one per person per day and will end once supplies run out.

The first-floor gaming area will feature playable demos of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, along with arcade cabinets for Sonic the Fighters and the original Virtua Striker. SEGA says visitors will be able to try each of these titles during the event.
A Sonic-themed music event is also planned for the final day on May 5, with Sonic appearing as part of the performance. Germain will also take part in the special presentation at the venue.
SEGA is also running a linked campaign with SEGA STORE TOKYO, located inside nearby Shibuya PARCO. From May 2 through May 5, customers who spend 1,500 yen including tax or more at SEGA STORE TOKYO will receive an ICI C’EST PARIS La Maison Tokyo x SONIC THE HEDGEHOG collaboration acrylic coaster. This bonus will also be limited to one per person per day while supplies last.

In the announcement, SEGA also highlighted Sonic’s continued global momentum ahead of the franchise’s 35th anniversary on June 23, 2026. Since debuting in 1991, the Sonic series has sold more than 1.77 billion units worldwide across full games and free-to-play titles combined, while also expanding across films, animation, music, merchandise, and other entertainment.
With meet-and-greets, exclusive collaboration items, retro SEGA games, and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds all set to be part of the experience, the Shibuya pop-up looks set to be one of Sonic’s more distinctive real-world events of the year.
