Sonic the Hedgehog is heading to Round1 in Japan for a new collaboration campaign packed with themed activities, food, drinks, prizes, and exclusive goods.
The Sonic the Hedgehog x Round1 collaboration campaign will begin on July 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM JST and run through October 12. The campaign will be held across Round1 locations, covering activities such as bowling, karaoke, Spo-Cha, billiards, darts, and amusement areas.
The collaboration features new artwork of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow, with each character tied to different Round1 activities. Sonic is shown with bowling, Tails with maracas, Amy with karaoke, Knuckles with bowling pins and Shadow with a tambourine.
A special collaboration food and drink menu will be available during the campaign. The drink lineup includes character-themed drinks for Sonic, Tails, Silver, Knuckles, and Shadow, each priced at 850 yen including tax. Food items include a snack set and pancake, priced at 1,090 yen each.

Fans will also be able to create their own arranged drink by choosing one drink and one topping ice flavor, priced at 780 yen including tax. Popcorn will also be available in salt and caramel flavors, priced at 780 yen and 880 yen respectively.
Customers who order collaboration drinks, collaboration food, arranged drinks, or popcorn will receive one original novelty item per order. The first half of the campaign will offer six photo metal card designs from July 10 through August 25, while the second half will offer six acrylic keyholder designs from August 26 through October 12. Designs will be distributed randomly while supplies last.
Round1 will also offer collaboration drink exchange tickets for customers ordering collaboration drinks. Instead of receiving the drink immediately, customers can receive a drink exchange ticket and novelty item, then redeem the ticket for an eligible drink later on the same day or at a later date. Payment is made when the ticket is issued, and tickets can only be used at the issuing store.

Five Round1 locations will also offer novelty-included drinks. The participating stores are Aomori, Omiya, Musashi-Murayama, Chikusa, and Moriguchi. These drinks are priced at 650 yen including tax, with customers receiving one original novelty item per order.

Several activity packs will also include collaboration bonuses. Bowling, karaoke, Spo-Cha, billiards, and darts collaboration packs will offer B4 visual mats and special Rism photo coins featuring Sonic artwork. The visual mats will be distributed in two waves, with the first four designs available from July 10 through August 25 and the second four designs available from August 26 through October 12.

A special karaoke collaboration room will be available at the Machida store in Tokyo. The room will be decorated with Sonic x Round1 visuals and will be offered through a collaboration room pack. Reservations are generally required through the web or app, though the room may be available without a reservation if no later booking is scheduled.

Bowling fans will also be able to take part in a score registration campaign. Participants must play two bowling games and reach a combined score of at least 170 points for men or 140 points for women to receive an A5 clear file. The campaign runs from July 10 through October 12, and customers using either the collaboration two-game pack or collaboration unlimited throw pack can participate.

Round1’s bowling score screens will also receive Sonic-themed presentation effects. Players can set the scoring visuals to a Sonic the Hedgehog style, adding special Sonic visuals to moments such as turkeys, doubles, strikes, spares, splits, gutters, misses, and one-pin remaining situations.

The amusement areas will also receive Sonic collaboration prizes. Round1 locations will offer Sonic & Friends plush toys in two sizes, with five character designs across Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Shadow. A Sonic the Hedgehog premium figure will also be available as a collaboration prize.
Customers who ask staff in advance and play eligible crane games with 500 yen or more in consecutive credits can also receive an A5 clear file as an amusement experience bonus. Two designs are planned, with designs distributed randomly while supplies last.

Spo-Cha locations will host an AR digital stamp rally. Participants can use a smartphone to search for QR code spots around the Spo-Cha floor and collect three digital stamps. Completing the rally will unlock an original illustration card. Participation is free for customers using a Spo-Cha collaboration pack.

Round1 is also holding a Twitter follow and repost campaign for the collaboration. The first round will give three winners a complete set of six photo metal cards, with entries open from June 26 through July 3 at 23:59 JST. A second round will give three winners a complete set of six acrylic keyholders, with entries planned from August 26 through September 2 at 23:59 JST.

With themed food and drinks, karaoke room decorations, bowling visuals, amusement prizes, stamp rallies, score challenges, and exclusive novelty goods, the Sonic x Round1 campaign gives fans in Japan another major way to celebrate Sonic’s 35th anniversary this summer.
