Sonic Blitz is ramping up for its full release with another major update. Following its technical launch just a month ago, the game’s second patch has landed, introducing new characters, customization options, and a brand-new Collection system.
Eight new character cards have joined the roster, bringing even more variety to team-building and strategy. Players can now unlock and play as:
- Dr. Fukurokov
- Heavy Shinobi
- Flicky
- Cream the Rabbit
- Metal Sonic
- Tangle the Lemur
- Bark the Polar Bear
- Knuckles the Echidna
In addition to character cards, the update introduces two new profile portraits featuring Blaze the Cat and Cream the Rabbit, letting players personalize their in-game profiles with stylish artwork of fan-favorite characters.
The standout addition in this patch is the new Collection and Albums system, which lets players organize their unlocked cards into themed albums. Completing an album grants bonus rewards, adding a new layer of depth to the card collecting experience. A new interface makes managing albums quick and intuitive.
Other quality-of-life improvements include:
- Expanded language support for Brazilian Portuguese
- 18 additional steps added to the Ring Journey progression system
- Minor bug fixes for a smoother gameplay experience
No balance changes were made to existing cards in this update.
As Sonic Blitz continues preparing for global rollout, this latest patch offers fans even more reasons to stay engaged. Full patch notes are available on the official Sonic Blitz Discord server.
