Some surprising characters have been uncovered in the game files of Sonic Blitz, the new mobile card-battler quietly released in the Philippines. Dataminers digging into the game’s code have found references and full 3D models for several unexpected Sonic characters, such as Princess Sally Acorn and Nicole the Lynx from the SatAM cartoon, Honey the Cat from Sonic the Fighters, and even a reimagined version of Mighty the Armadillo with a modern design.
The leak surfaced shortly after the game appeared on the Google Play Store in select regions. It includes character bios and assets for figures rarely acknowledged in official Sonic games. Some of these characters, like Cosmo from Sonic X, belong to continuities often seen as off-limits due to licensing restrictions or internal guidelines on Sonic canon.
Although the inclusion of these characters in the game files does not confirm they will be made playable, the detail of the models and bios suggests they are more than simple placeholders. Whether they were planned for future content or included for testing remains to be seen.
Screenshots and model previews have begun to spread across social media, showcasing designs many fans never expected to see in a game. Among the highlights are a fully modeled version of Modern Mighty and rare appearances by characters like Doctor Fukurokov from Tails Adventure.
As of now, SEGA has not released an official statement regarding the leak. Until confirmation arrives, the presence of these characters adds even more intrigue to Sonic Blitz, which is already shaping up to be one of the most curious mobile entries in the series.
