The technical test for Sonic Blitz, Rovio’s upcoming card battler inspired by Marvel Snap, has officially expanded to Brazil with the release of version 1.1.1. Originally launched on June 2nd in the Philippines, the game remains in an early test phase with no in-app purchases, confirming that this is not a full soft launch.
While the user interface and card pool are still minimal, the latest update introduces a new wave of playable character cards sure to excite longtime Sonic fans. Joining the roster are Silver, Sir Galahad (Silver’s Black Knight counterpart), Tikal, Chip, Storm, Bean the Dynamite, and even King Boom Boo — the ghostly boss from Sonic Adventure 2.
If you’re located in either the Philippines or Brazil, you can now download the game via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Monetization features like the Red Star Ring store and gacha mechanics are not active yet but are expected to appear in future updates as development progresses.
Sonic Blitz pits players in fast-paced matches using cards based on Sonic characters, abilities, and iconic zones. The game emphasizes strategic timing, team synergy, and flashy animations, with references pulled from across the franchise’s deep history.
Stay tuned to Sonic City for more Sonic Blitz updates as development continues and the roster expands.
