SEGA has officially opened its very first brick-and-mortar store, SEGA Store Shanghai, welcoming fans to an all-new experience in the heart of China’s bustling metropolis. Located inside the Bailian ZX shopping mall, the store aims to be more than just a retail space—it’s a celebration of SEGA’s rich history and iconic characters.

The new store features a variety of in-store experiences, including original merchandise created with local flair, interactive displays showcasing SEGA’s games and characters, and memorable photo spots perfect for capturing your visit. Whether you’re there to shop or simply soak in the atmosphere, SEGA Store Shanghai is designed to immerse visitors in the company’s legacy.

SEGA’s Transmedia Business Unit, formed in April 2024, has been working to expand SEGA’s reach beyond video games, bringing their beloved franchises into new mediums and experiences. The opening of SEGA Store Shanghai marks the first step in this real-world expansion, with the company hinting at plans for additional locations in the future as part of its global transmedia strategy.
