April 2025’s commemorative illustration from Sonic Channel puts the spotlight on Wave the Swallow, the brilliant mechanic of the Babylon Rogues from the Sonic Riders series. Featured tuning up a piece of Extreme Gear that likely belongs to Jet the Hawk, Wave looks completely in her element, tools in hand and signature smirk in place.

Whether she’s performing routine maintenance or upgrading it for another high-speed showdown, there’s no mistaking the confidence she brings to the job. That trademark grin says it all — Wave knows exactly what she’s doing. And with her skills, Jet’s gear is sure to run smoother than ever.

Below is the official translated caption shared by Sonic Channel alongside the artwork:

The commemorative illustration for April 2025 is here! 🎨
This time, it features Wave, the super mechanic of the Babylon Rogues, from Sonic Riders! 🐦🔧

She’s shown tuning up an Extreme Gear entrusted to her by their leader, Jet. 🛹🪛
That confident smile—full of assurance and without a hint of hesitation—says it all: she knows exactly what she’s doing. ✨

Wave hasn’t had much time in the spotlight lately, but this new art is a great reminder of her unique charm and technical genius. With SEGA continuing to celebrate characters across the franchise, maybe we’ll see more of the Babylon Rogues soon in the upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.

First of all, it’s great to see Wave the Swallow be in the spotlight for once. And 2nd of all, SEGA has definitely teased us for a Sonic Riders remaster in which millions of Sonic fans like me have asked for after the official Sonic The Hedgehog social media channels posted the history of Sonic racing games earlier this week.

True, really hoping Wave and Storm maki it into CrossWorlds!
