Sonic the Hedgehog 4 could be around two hours long, according to an entry in the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR), although the figure has yet to be confirmed as the movie’s final runtime.
The registry listing records an Approximate Length of PT2H0M, equivalent to two hours, for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming fourth Sonic movie.
The entry also identifies Jeff Fowler as director and lists James Marsden and Jim Carrey among the cast. Its records indicate that the information was created on July 15, 2026, and last modified on July 16, meaning the runtime figure itself has been in the database for several months.

The two-hour figure shouldn’t be taken as confirmation just yet. EIDR uses approximate lengths to identify films and television productions, and those estimates can differ from the finished releases.
Sonic fans have actually seen this happen before. Back in February 2024, Sonic City reported that EIDR had listed the six Knuckles episodes at approximately one hour each. When the series eventually premiered on Paramount+, the actual episodes ran between 23 and 33 minutes.
Paramount has not announced a final runtime for Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which is scheduled to arrive in US theaters on March 19, 2027.
For now, two hours remains the approximate length recorded in the registry rather than the movie’s confirmed running time.
