Halloween has arrived in Sonic Rumble Party! SEGA has launched its Halloween 2026 Event, bringing a new batch of spooky costumes, Buddies and customization rewards to the multiplayer party game, including Reaper Metal Sonic, Vampire Shadow and Witch Cream.
The event begins on October 16 at 8:00 AM UTC and runs until November 5 at 7:59 AM UTC, giving players nearly three weeks to complete missions, advance through the Event Pass and collect Halloween-themed rewards.
There are two Event Pass tracks available, with the free pass offering the Green Crystal Monster (S) Buddy. Players who purchase the Premium Pass can unlock the Reaper Metal Sonic and Woodgrain Charmy skins, alongside the Green Crystal Monster (L) Buddy, the Purple Color Ink Trail effect and 30 Red Star Rings.
Progression works through battles and event missions, with players earning XP toward their Event Pass while also collecting materials used to enhance their Skins and Buddies.
Two more Halloween costumes are joining the Red Star Ring Shop. Vampire Shadow and Witch Cream are available for a limited time, bringing the characters’ previously teased Halloween designs into the game.
Both costumes were among the discoveries in Sonic City’s September datamine report, alongside Reaper Metal Sonic. At the time, their appearance in the game files offered no confirmation of their release or how they would be distributed. With SEGA’s latest announcement, all three have now received official release details.
The Red Star Ring Shop is also bringing back several costumes from previous Halloween celebrations, including Mummy Knuckles, Witch Rouge and Halloween Sonic, along with the Magician Chao Buddy.
Fans who missed last year’s Halloween content will have another chance to pick up the returning Halloween 2025 Pack, featuring Vampire Silver and the Mini King Boom Boo Buddy, as well as the Halloween 2025 Ring Pack, which contains additional customization items.
SEGA is also offering temporary discounts on Mummy Knuckles, Witch Rouge, Halloween Sonic, Magician Chao and the Halloween 2025 Pack. According to the Japanese announcement, those promotional prices will remain available until October 22 at 5:00 PM JST.
The Halloween 2026 Event is available in Sonic Rumble Party on iOS, Android and PC through Steam and Google Play Games. The game is free to play, with optional in-game purchases.
