M&S has launched an exclusive new McLaren Racing x Sonic the Hedgehog apparel collection, marking the first dedicated clothing range to come from SEGA and McLaren’s ongoing partnership.
Available from August 12, the collection brings Sonic together with McLaren’s racing colors and branding across a range of children’s clothing sold through M&S stores and online.
The lineup includes Sonic x McLaren hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, tops, a rugby shirt, bomber jacket, and padded gilet, with the designs combining Sonic imagery with the visual identity of the McLaren Formula 1 team.

The collaboration follows the partnership established between SEGA and McLaren Racing in 2025, when Sonic joined the team as part of its wider Racing Around the World campaign. One of the partnership’s first major public activations took place at McLaren Racing Live: London in Trafalgar Square, where fans could take part in Sonic-themed racing activities.
This new M&S range is the first time that partnership has expanded into a dedicated apparel collection.
There is also some history behind the pairing.
At the 1993 European Grand Prix, a Sonic the Hedgehog trophy was famously presented to race winner Ayrton Senna after McLaren took victory at Donington Park. The unusual trophy has since become a recognizable piece of both Sonic and Formula 1 history, and the modern SEGA and McLaren partnership has repeatedly drawn attention to that connection.
For the new collection, the companies are bringing that shared history into clothing aimed at a younger generation of fans, combining Sonic’s speed-focused identity with McLaren’s motorsport heritage.
The McLaren Racing x Sonic the Hedgehog apparel range is available exclusively through M&S from August 12, 2026.
