The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have officially entered Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
SEGA has released the game’s fifth premium DLC wave, bringing Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and a full collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles content to the racetrack.
All four brothers are available as playable racers and can take control of the new Pizzafire Van, a TMNT-themed machine built around the group’s famous love of pizza.
The pack also introduces New York City, a new course recreating the Turtles’ home turf for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
Three new tracks have been added to the Jukebox alongside the course:
- “New York City: Intro”
- “New York City”
- “New York City: Final Lap”
The crossover also includes additional sounds and decals, alongside six different emotes for each of the four Turtles.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pack is available separately for $5.99 USD.
Players who already own the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition or Season Pass receive the DLC as part of their existing purchase. SEGA currently sells the Season Pass separately for $29.99 USD.
Digital Deluxe Edition and Season Pass owners can access the new content after launching the updated game and completing the tutorial. Standard Edition owners can purchase and download the pack through their platform’s respective store.
Importantly, owning the DLC is not required to encounter its content online.
Players without the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pack can still race against Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo when matched with players who own the DLC. They can also compete on the New York City course during online races.
SEGA released a new trailer alongside the pack showing the four brothers racing through New York City in the Pizzafire Van and competing against the wider Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds roster.
The launch was also celebrated with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Festival, a limited-time online event that ran from July 30 through August 2 in North America, corresponding to July 31 through August 3 in Japan.
As with other Festivals, players were divided into three teams and competed to earn the highest combined score while taking on special rules, including challenges based around actions such as Touch Dash.
Festival Points could be earned for exclusive rewards. SEGA notes that Gadgets originally offered through Festivals may be distributed again through future updates, while Festival rewards may also become obtainable through other methods later.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pack continues Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ extensive crossover roadmap and arrives as the fifth paid DLC release for the game.
