Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast and SEGA have officially announced a Secret Lair x Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration, bringing the world of Sonic into the iconic trading card game for the very first time. The limited-edition drops launch on July 14 at 9 a.m. PT and will be available while supplies last on MagicSecretLair.com.

This special crossover includes three themed Secret Lair drops, each packed with original card designs, artwork by Sonic community favorites, and plenty of creative nods to the Blue Blur’s universe.

Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes
This drop celebrates Sonic’s core cast with seven character cards featuring beloved heroes and villains, each with brand-new Magic card designs and original art. The lineup includes Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Dr. Eggman, and a powerful Super form.

Secret Lair x Sonic: Chasing Adventure
A twist on classic MTG staples, this set reskins fan-favorite cards like Sol Ring and Fabricate with Sonic-themed illustrations. It also includes a themed Treasure token, adding flair to your decks.

Secret Lair x Sonic: Turbo Gear
This artifact-themed drop turns MTG equipment and vehicles into Sonic-style gear. Highlights include:

  • Knuckles’s Gloves (The Reaver Cleaver)
  • Power Sneakers (Lightning Greaves)
  • Tornado, Sonic’s Biplane (Weatherlight)

Designed to complement Friends & Foes, this drop enhances gameplay with flavorful synergy.

Each drop will be available in both regular ($29.99) and foil ($39.99) editions. As a timed release, fans are encouraged to act fast when orders go live.

This collaboration marks Sonic’s debut in the Magic universe and adds even more momentum to the franchise’s multimedia expansion. Whether you’re a collector, a card slinger, or a lifelong Sonic fan, this crossover is sure to turn heads.
