Sonic Rumble Party will receive its major Version 1.6.0 update on May 20, bringing new stages, new features, Movement Skill adjustments, and additional quality-of-life changes to the game.

Maintenance is scheduled to run from May 20 at 4:00 AM UTC until approximately 8:00 AM UTC. A data update will also be applied at 4:10 AM UTC. After maintenance ends, players will need to update the game to the latest version before playing. The game will be unavailable during maintenance, and SEGA notes that the schedule may be subject to change.

Version 1.6.0 will add several new stages across Party Rumble and Ring Survival. Party Rumble will receive Attack of the Death Egg Robot and Block Step Blitz, while Ring Survival will add Desert Ruins Run 3, Pinball Carnival Survival, and Frozen Factory Ring Battle 2.

New Stage Challenges are also being added for Sky Sanctuary Run 2 and Green Hill Run 3, giving players more challenge content to clear after the update.

As previously detailed in the developer letter, select Movement Skills are also receiving speed increases. The full list of adjusted skills includes Bomb Dash, Yellow Drill, Unstoppable Dash, Cyclone Dash, Baseball Slide, Race Car, Air Dash, Dodge Roll, Cartwheel, Skateboard Slide, Finders Keepers, Tail Copter, Card Spin Boost, Doom Wing Dash, Doom Wing Glide, Booster Dash, Bunny Hop, Bunny Blastoff, Levitation, Ninja Dash, Abuzzed with Energy, Phantom Dash, Chao Chase, and Donpa Dash.

The update will also add new missions to achievements, expanding the game’s achievement content for players to complete.

Party Rumble stages will become playable in Custom Matches as part of Version 1.6.0, allowing players to select the mode when creating custom rooms.

Other adjustments are also planned, including UI improvements and changes to the names of certain items and cosmetics.

With new stages, faster Movement Skills, achievement additions, and Party Rumble support in Custom Matches, Version 1.6.0 looks set to be one of Sonic Rumble Party’s more substantial updates since launch.
