My Slime Garden is giving Sonic Adventure fans something very familiar: a cozy creature-raising loop built around nurturing, breeding, customizing, and adventuring with small companions.
The free-to-play Steam game from Slimebox Games is not an official Sonic title, but its appeal to Sonic fans is clear. My Slime Garden takes inspiration from the kind of companion-raising gameplay many players still associate with Chao Garden, letting players care for unique slimes, mix traits through breeding, raise stats, unlock abilities, and build a team for island exploration.
Each slime can inherit traits from its parents, creating new companions with different appearances and abilities. Players can feed their slimes, strengthen them over time, and prepare them for procedurally generated island adventures filled with enemies, rewards, secrets, and surprises.
Customization is also a major part of the game. Players can unlock and purchase accessories to dress up their slimes, giving each one its own personality and look. New accessories and items are being added regularly as the game continues to grow.

My Slime Garden is currently playable through Early Access, with the developer planning to expand the game over the next one to two years. The full version is expected to build on the existing content with more gameplay mechanics, additional biomes, and more explorable maps for adventure mode.
Players who want to test upcoming content earlier can join the nightly beta option, which offers semi-daily builds before features reach the public version.
The developer is also taking feedback through Steam, Discord, and X as the game continues to grow. A Patreon has launched as well, offering supporters exclusive in-game cosmetics such as a special animated ribbon accessory for May.
My Slime Garden is available now on Steam as a free-to-play Early Access release.
